The American Yacht Company with it's five web sites, boatmiami.com; boatbvi.com, luxuryachtvacation.com, miamiyachtweddings.com, and floridabahamasyachts.com was founded by Tony King, our general manager, who specializes in crewed and bareboat vacations worldwide including mega yacht vacations. Tony's partner, Gail King, specializes in Weddings and Corporate Events in South Florida. Gail also assists with vacations and mega yacht bookings. In June 2005, Hazel Johnson came onboard to take care of accounting and to assist Tony and Gail with charter yacht bookings.

Tony brings with him a background in International business and over 40 years of boating. Tony was 7 years old when he first sailed in the UK and he later attended a Naval School in Scotland where he sailed each summer from Scotland to Iceland on the schools wooden sailing boat. In more recent years, Tony became a fully certified Merchant Marine Officer with a 100 ton masters license and is fully at home on a motor yacht or a sailing yacht. Both Tony and Gail have experience and are very knowledgeable in Internet business, having owned a consulting company and B2B internet company. Both have experience in running charter yachts, having chartered their own yacht in Florida, The Bahamas and the Virgin Islands.

Gail spent many years planning corporate events worldwide for a variety of Fortune 500 companies and in planning private parties and events. Past clients have included top executives and famous personalities who demand discretion and sensitivity to their needs. Busy people need someone who can take care of all aspects of a party or a charter and be relied upon not to divulge personal information to third parties unless totally necessary. Hazel has an accounting and office management background and is very knowledgeable on all the party yachts that we have listed on our web-site. Hazel has personally visited each yacht and can answer any of your questions. Like Gail, she has a background in the planning and execution of parties. Hazel is also able to assist with bare boat bookings and crewed yacht charters.
